Creating photo dog tags has been my passion since 9/11. They are deeply personal, sentimental pieces that tell a story, capture a memory, and keep loved ones close.
This one especially touched me.
After October 7, the world came to know the story of Hersh Goldberg-Polin. Dog tags bearing the message “Bring Hersh Home” became symbols of hope around the world.
Hersh was a 23 year old American-Israeli who was abducted on October 7, 2023.
We all watched in disbelief and horror at one of the darkest days in history when a surprise terrorist attack killed more than 1200 Jewish people, thousands injured and 240 people taken hostage. Families torn apart, unimaginable heartbreak. Some hostages held for nearly 11 months.
This special tag was created for his grandfather, honoring both Hersh and his dear friend Aner Shapira. Crafted with love and remembrance, it serves as a lasting tribute to two extraordinary young men.
Father’s Day, a day we honor family, Dad, Grandpa, Sons-Fathers who are no longer with us, those we carry forever in our hearts, and those we are fortunate to celebrate each day.
